A call for proposals in partnership with Finep will support the development of innovative products and processes by Brazilian companies to advance and internationalize strategic economic sectors.
FAPESP Agency – FAPESP has launched a new call for proposals under the Tecnova III Program, in partnership with the Brazilian Agency for the Financing of Studies and Projects (Finep).
The call for proposals aims to support, through the awarding of economic grants, the development of innovative products (goods or services) and processes by Brazilian companies to consolidate and improve economic sectors considered strategic under federal public policies and in line with the government’s innovation guidelines.
In addition to funding for the development of innovative products and processes, additional resources will be made available to accelerate the growth and international expansion of the selected companies. Innovation projects in all fields of knowledge will be supported. The duration of projects funded through this call for proposals must not exceed 24 months.
For each approved proposal, funding totaling up to R$ 702,000 will be allocated, with R$ 468,000 coming from the National Fund for Scientific and Technological Development (FNDCT/Finep) and R$ 234,000 from FAPESP.
Of the total amount, up to R$ 600,000 will be allocated to the development of innovative products and/or processes, R$ 75,000 to business acceleration, and R$ 27,000 to the internationalization of the companies selected through the call for proposals. In addition, FAPESP may award up to an additional R$298,000 in Technical Training grants, in accordance with the limits and restrictions set forth in the rules of the Innovative Research in Small Businesses Program (PIPE).
Proposals must be submitted through the Management Support System (SAGe) by October 20.
